The London College
of Fashionis a unique centre
of learning based in the heart of one of the world's greatest cities.
Its dynamic environment offers an exciting opportunity to study widely
in fashion, the College being the only specialist college dedicated to
fashion education in the United Kingdom. Courses are developed in all
areas of fashion that have academic, creative and industrial relevance
giving students the maximum opportunity to realise their personal and
professional aspirations. Courses provide opportunities in menswear, womenswear
and accessories and for students to explore both unstructured/sportswear
and structured/tailored garments. In addition, students may explore embroidery,
and accessories students can investigate and specialise in millinery,
leather goods or footwear.
Cordwainers at The London College of
Fashion
Cordwainers College was at the forefront of vocational education in footwear
and leather accessories for over a century. The College had an international
reputation for design, technology, production and management for the footwear
and fashion accessories industries. The quality of skills taught, both
in traditional areas of handcraft and through state-of-the-art technology,
were an unsurpassed.
In August 2000, Cordwainers College of merged with The
London College of Fashion becoming
Cordwainers at The London
College of Fashion and aiming to maintain its reputation
as an international centre of excellence in the field of footwear and
accessories education, consultancy and research.
